COVID-19 Protocols
If a child receives a COVID test…
- positive COVID test with illness symptoms at the time of the test
- child must be symptom-free for 48 hours before returning to school.
- positive COVID test and no symptoms at the time of the test
- the child should stay home for 48 hours
- parents monitor for any symptoms
- If a child develops symptoms during this time, he/she must be symptom-free for 48 hours before returning to school.
- negative COVID test
- the child must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to school. This is standard protocol for other illnesses a child might have.
If a child does NOT receive a COVID test…
- No COVID testing done, and child has illness symptoms
- the child must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to school. This is standard protocol for other illnesses a child might have.
