COVID-19 Protocols

If a child receives a COVID test…

  • positive COVID test with illness symptoms at the time of the test
    • child must be symptom-free for 48 hours before returning to school.
  • positive COVID test and no symptoms at the time of the test
    • the child should stay home for 48 hours
    • parents monitor for any symptoms
    • If a child develops symptoms during this time, he/she must be symptom-free for 48 hours before returning to school.
  • negative COVID test
    • the child must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to school. This is standard protocol for other illnesses a child might have.

If a child does NOT receive a COVID test…

  • No COVID testing done, and child has illness symptoms
    • the child must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to school. This is standard protocol for other illnesses a child might have.
